"Left on read" means they saw your message and chose not to answer — at least not yet.
Sometimes it's a bad day, a busy hour, or a message that needed more thought than a quick reply. Your brain assumes the worst version first.
It becomes worth noticing only if it keeps happening. One instance is just a Tuesday.
